Your spirit is a result of your thoughts. Day by day, what you choose, what you think, receive and what you do is who you become. Stay in tune with things that are in line with your principles. Music is the mantra of your soul. The content of your character is your choice. Make the content of your music your choice too.
It's time for Positive Rhythms. Positive Rhythms is contemporary music, news, entertainment, and inspirational moments culled from the lives of the listening audience. Positive Rhythms is formatted for the entire family and community. Positive Rhythms is music without offensive content and images. Positive Rhythms is "listening radio".
Positive Rhythms searches for those songs that fit our motto of putting the good side of life: faith, hope, dreams, love, happiness and other positives into songs for you. Inspiring music programming to help you to get through life's issues. We are striving to bring back the laughter and shear joy of life that we sometimes seem to have lost. We bring to you fun, interesting topics, great guests, and a variety of thoughts and perspectives on everything that life consists of: our bodies, our mind and our great human spirit. "Positive Rhythms" is a fun filled, positively focused, uplifting program, which intends to help people constructively influence our neighborhoods, our country and our world. Our goal being to help each person flourish individually, this in turn will positively affect the future of us all.
Studies show that Urban Radio programming without offensive and demeaning lyrical content is critically needed. Positive Rhythms is not preoccupied with discussions of censorship but choice. We offer an alternative entertainment product choice so audiences can enjoy conscious urban contemporary music. "Positive Rhythms" will air music that affirms life and highlights inspirational stories that encourage hope and offers support for over coming life's most difficult challenges. We know that women are especially intrigued by these stories, and are the most under-served and disenfranchised segment of consumers. Our programming will reach beyond by providing good news, highlights about positive activities in our local communities and the nation, motivational minuets and light humor.

As a young girl attending church - Joelle Gwynn, CEO and Founder, became fascinated by the zealous delivery and well-articulated sentence structure used by the church announcers. In high school, Joelle participated in forensics theatre, school plays, and musicals. She was often charged with being talkative, expressive and complimented on being articulate, yet never appreciated that observation. A dream was truly fulfilled as she attended college at Winston Salem State University, a Historically Black University. There Joelle was able to host her own radio show and produce other programs as a volunteer at WSNC, the campus radio station.
Realizing she had found a niche, that her voice was an asset and her articulate manner was welcomed, even encouraged, the dream was to "just do it". Persuaded to seek a career in broadcasting she sought out jobs in broadcasting after graduation in addition to working as a Teacher, Social Worker and a Government Analyst. She acquired broadcasting experience as a traffic news reporter, a part-time announcer "The Weekend Girl" at "The Rhythm" WGPR 107.5 FM in Detroit and doing voice-over work. Frustrated with the distasteful direction of today's contemporary music's culture; the vision to produce a better product instilled the discipline, purpose and necessary funds to birth, "Positive Rhythms" radio program available via Internet and through syndication.
Joelle was also able to combine her passion with music and broadcasting with her passion for community service by establishing the My Music-My Choice foundation. She sees music as powerful medium and desires to not only bring inspiration but effectuate positive change for the community through songs and service.
